Well, it is almost certain that there will be no iPad 3 for Christmas this year. The newest reports from Asia indicate that March 2012 is the month when iPad 3 will come out. although there are also conflicting reports saying otherwise. Factories in China are said to be gearing up to produce the iPad 3 by the end of January. At this point and time, Apple has certainly the time to work out any potential bugs as there are no real competitors in the tablet market and it’s unlikely that there will be any by March 2012. Apple has 80-90% of the tablet market and the iPad 2 has proven that when it comes to tablets, you stick with Apple. In fact, one could argue, that there really is no tablet market. only iPad market. As owners of iPad 2 are wearing their tablets out , they are eagerly awaiting the release of iPad 3 but so far it looks that they will have to wait at least another 4 long months. When it does however come out, it won’t disappoint. The screen resolution is likely to be that of the iPhone 4S which is 1536×2048. The chip is upgraded to A6 which will be 1.5 Ghz dual core. Storage space will also be expanded with the lowest starting at 32 GB and highest at 128 GB. With all the rumors and speculations and considering that we still have a few months before the launch, who knows what all Apple can come up with. Honestly the iPad 2 is great already. If they kept selling only iPad 2 for next year, it would still reign supreme in the world of tablets. It is exciting, however to see how quickly is technology advancing. Less than 2 years ago, skeptics were mocking the idea of iPad but they were silenced. Who knows what we will be writing about 5 years from now. For now, though it is iPad 3 and I for one am looking forward to getting my hands on one.
